Royal Mail Announces Tenfold Increase in Electric Vehicles
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes Royal Mail’s recent announcement of a tenfold increase in the number of electric vehicles it runs across its UK fleet, with plans to introduce around 3,000 additional, low-emission vans throughout the country; understands that the new vehicles will help postmen and women deliver letters and parcels in a secure and environmentally-friendly way; commends the company’s work to date to reduce emissions, and wishes it continued success.
