Finn's Place Awarded Funding for Community Initiatives
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Finn's Place on securing funding that allows the development of a new ESOL programme for diverse communities across the Glasgow Cathcart constituency; acknowledges the financial contribution of the James T Howatt Charitable Trust, which has provided funding for a new six-week programme of classes, and congratulates Finn's Place on its successful application to the Weir Charitable Trust for the development of a community garden, which it considers many local residents in the Battlefield area will benefit from as an urban greenspace that will add to the environment and also break down the barriers that can lead to social isolation.
