New Home for the Castle Douglas Toffee Shop
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that the Toffee Shop on King Street in Castle Douglas has secured a lease with the Castle Douglas Development Forum, which ensures that it will be able to operate in the months and years ahead; understands that the business, which is run by Jayne and Keith Davidson, will operate along with the Heart of Galloway Tourist Information Centre, a community-run imitative that sells locally-produced treats, arts and crafts and provides information for visitors to the historic town; wishes both the Toffee Shop and the Development Forum every success for the future, and encourages all to pop into both the shop and information centre when visiting the town.
