Deafblind Awareness Week 21 to 27 June 2021

The motion

That the Parliament recognises Deafblind Awareness Week as taking place from 21 to 27 June 2021; commends the services provided by Deafblind Scotland, in campaigning for the rights of those affected by dual sensory impairment, while supporting members to live fruitful, fulfilling lives in their communities; pays tribute to the dedication and vision of the team at Deafblind Scotland's Lenzie-based headquarters, led by Chief Executive, Isabella Goldie; applauds the addition of the "Just Keep Going" project of online activities to support the wellbeing of members during the COVID-19 pandemic, and sends very best wishes to all those delivering and engaging with the services of this industry-leading charity.
