Irvine Pupil Cleans Up
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates nine-year-old Oliver Leishman, a pupil at Elderbank Primary School, on his dedication and hard work in clearing litter from Irvine Beach; understands that the young environmentalist spends his weekends and school holidays clearing litter from the beach to ensure it does not get washed into the sea; notes that his interest in the environment was triggered by a documentary on the effects of litter to sea life; thanks Oliver for his hard work and dedication, and wishes him the best for the future.
