Celebrating Two Decades of Leadership in Advocacy
The motion
That the Parliament commends the visionary leadership of Gordon Thomson, serving as Manager and CEO for 20 years in Kirkintilloch-based advocacy services; understands that Ceartas Advocacy was established in 2004 under his leadership, having previously operated its services as part of Alzheimer Scotland; pays tribute to the charity's strong commitment to equality, fairness and justice; recognises the achievements of the staff, volunteers and board members in ensuring that independent advocacy services are available at the point of need; acknowledges that Mr Thomson's skills and experience will continue to have tangible impact at CrossReach, and sends its best wishes to Mr Thomson in his new role, and to all who engage with Ceartas Advocacy for sustained impact in the communities of East Dunbartonshire.
