Kingcase Primary School, Prestwick

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the P7 students at Kingcase Primary School who have been innovative in ways to raise money for a community charity, Dementia Friendly Prestwick; understands that, inspired by Captain Tom Moore, the young people decided to plant 400 tomato seeds to share with their school community as a way of encouraging families to grow their own food while at the same time benefitting residents in the area; notes that the pupils, who recently received the John Muir Award, have explored the actions that people can take to reduce pollution, including growing their own food and buying locally; acknowledges that they have also being encouraging the community to support the work of the charity, and sends it best wishes to all of the pupils involved in this great community project in Prestwick.
