Pope Francis Champions the Right of Workers to Organise in Trade Unions
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes a video message from Pope Francis during the 109th meeting of the International Labour Organization, in which he called the "right to organise in unions" one of the fundamental protections for workers, including migrant and vulnerable workers, and agrees with Pope Francis that efforts to rebuild economies in the aftermath of COVID-19 "must look for solutions that will help us build a new future of work based on decent and dignified working conditions".
