Welcoming TRNSMT Back
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that Glasgow’s TRNSMT festival will be going ahead in September 2021; understands this will see the return of 50,000 passionate music fans return to the city for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began; believes that the line-up will include The Courteeners, Liam Gallagher, The Chemical Brothers, Ian Brown, Primal Scream and Snow Patrol; recognises the importance of events such as this to Glasgow’s economy and reputation as a first-class music destination, and congratulates the organisers for all their hard work to ensure the event will be ready to go ahead despite the challenges that the pandemic has presented.
