Rookie Rockstars Raises £30,000 to Support Children's Mental Wellbeing
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Rookie Rockstars on raising over £30,000 to support its counselling services for school-aged pupils, as delivered by Rookie Minds; commends the phenomenal efforts of the founder and CEO, Dave Brackenridge, in hosting and broadcasting the live event on YouTube and Facebook from Home Church in Kirkintilloch for its entire 30-hour duration; further recognises the outstanding contribution of the highly-talented musical performers, guests and other volunteers for their enthusiasm in delivering such an impactful event; thanks the support team, including young people from the host church, who coordinated much of the offline activity; delights that the generosity of the community through donors and sponsors is enabling plans to relaunch the children's counselling services in August 2021; supports the continued success of this valuable charity in delivering modestly-priced music tuition and free or subsidised children's counselling services, and sends its best wishes to the committed staff team, supporters and all who engage with its industry-leading services.
