Irvine Farm Basket

The motion

That the Parliament acknowledges the opening of the Irvine Farm Basket, which is a new community food larder to help people who struggle to buy food; understands that the Farm Basket can be accessed by residents in the Broomlands and Bourtreehill areas of Irvine, and is based at Towerlands Community Centre; notes it will be open three days a week on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday; further understands that community food larders work on a membership basis and provide a mini supermarket-like environment where residents have the opportunity to choose their own food; acknowledges the hard work of the volunteers of Broomlands and Bourtreehill Community Association (BABCA), and wishes everyone involved every success with the project.
