NHS Golden Jubilee and Scotland’s First Total Knee Replacement Using a ROSA Robot
The motion
That the Parliament commends the orthopaedic surgeons at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in Clydebank for carrying out Scotland’s first total knee replacement procedure on a patient using a ROSA robot; understands that the hospital, which carries out approximately 25% of all joint replacements in Scotland, now has three orthopaedic robots, which offer patients more precise operations, shorter hospital stays and quicker recoveries, helping to reduce waiting times; acknowledges that the Golden Jubilee National Hospital will aim to carry out over 1,000 robotic orthopaedic procedures in the next year, and applauds everyone involved for their continuous hard work.
