Sustainable Dunbar's Community-Led Plan
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Sustaining Dunbar on its recent report, a community-led plan of action for coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic, producing an infrastructure to assist and aiding the community to “build back better;” recognises the themes of connecting with nature for health and wellbeing, connecting with food and growing for sustainable lives, letting nature thrive for a high-quality environment, learning and acting for sustainable lifestyles, collaborating for common good, and their importance; commends Sustaining Dunbar’s commitment to caring for the environment and aspiring to make our towns and villages better, safer and fairer places for all, as well as focusing on a plan to “build back better” by rethinking the economy to tackle the environmental crisis, and endorses Sustaining Dunbar’s aims to apply the wellbeing economy objectives to the local community, highlighting the level of community development required to support sustainability commitments across the community.
