Reading Recognition for Cowie Primary School
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Cowie Primary School on receiving a First Minister’s Reading Challenge Award, for its exemplary work in building a positive culture of reading for pleasure amongst pupils; recognises the importance of reading in the educational journey of Scotland’s young people; notes the dedication shown by staff members in encouraging and enabling pupils to find joy in reading, and praises Stirling Council for its approach to reading, with all 12 of Stirling’s primary schools fostering a nurturing environment of teaching and learning for Stirling’s young people.
