Advice Direct Scotland Launches New Platform
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the launch of the new platform, energyadvice.scot, which will provide people in Scotland with free energy advice to help them interact with suppliers; recognises that many consumers have been struggling to afford their bills due to being at home more during the COVID-19 pandemic; notes that this new platform, run by Advice Direct Scotland and supported by the Scottish Government, is available online or over the phone, allowing consumers to get in touch in the most convenient way for them, and believes that access to practical advice and information on energy-related matters plays a crucial role in tackling fuel poverty.
