Clydebank Asbestos Group and Action Mesothelioma Day 2021
The motion
That the Parliament commends Clydebank Asbestos Group on Action Mesothelioma Day (Action Meso Day) 2021; understands that the volunteer organisation, which was set up in 1992 to help provide support, advice and information for victims of asbestos and their families, held an online webinar with a range of speakers to raise awareness of mesothelioma and the dangers of asbestos; acknowledges Clydebank Asbestos Group’s many partnerships with other organisations, including West Dunbartonshire Council, Improving the Cancer Journey, Macmillan Cancer Support, Energy Action Scotland, Mesothelioma UK and the Scottish Mesothelioma Network, which allows it to take a holistic approach to supporting its clients, helping with emotional, as well as practical, needs, and applauds everyone involved for their continuous hard work.
