Remembering Srebrenica
The motion
That the Parliament recognises that 11 July 2021 is Remembering Srebrenica Day, a day to pay tribute to, remember and honour the victims and survivors of the Srebrenica massacre of July 1995 in which more than 8,000 Bosniak Muslim men and boys were murdered; believes that the stirring-up of hatred and discrimination must be challenged wherever it occurs, and that the lessons of past genocides must be learnt to ensure such atrocities are not repeated, and encourages communities across Scotland to stand together against hatred and intolerance to build better, safer societies for all.
