Milngavie Teen Running 10 Kilometres a Day for Cancer Charity
The motion
That the Parliament commends 14-year-old Charlie Ronald from Milngavie for challenging himself to run 10 kilometres every day for 40 days, to raise funds in aid of the John Maurice Aitken Trust (JMA Trust); understands that the charity was set up in memory of John, a family friend, who died from lymphoma cancer seven years ago, and aims to provide support to people in need, including current and former cancer patients and their families and carers who are experiencing hardship; notes that this is Charlie’s 5th fundraising event for the JMA Trust, with an aim of raising £2,000 in total; praises Charlie’s efforts to support a great cause, and acknowledges the great work of the JMA Trust.
