Ailidh Howie Wins Scottish Rugby Charity Fundraising Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Ailidh Howie on receiving the Charity Fundraising award at the Scottish Rugby Community Awards 2021 for raising over £1,000 for Neuroblastoma UK; notes that 11-year-old Ailidh plays rugby at Greenock Wanderers and cycled 100km earlier this year to raise money for the charity in memory of Rosie Veronica Mitchell, whose dad Ross coaches youngsters, including Ailidh, at the rugby club; understands that Ailidh is part of "Rosie’s Rascals", a group of supporters who each year take on fundraising efforts and challenges in memory of Rosie, who died in 2019 due to neuroblastoma, a rare cancer that mostly affects children; recognises that Ailidh is already planning her next fundraising event, and wishes her and all of Rosie’s Rascals all the best for the future as they continue with their fundraising efforts.
