Irvine Burns Club’s Annual Schools’ Competition

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the winners of the Irvine Burns Club annual schools competition; understands that there were four winners from Woodlands Primary School, Katie McCubbin (primary two) and Isla Hobson (primary three), with Isobel Dunlop and Loula Boyd each winning in the primary four-primary seven section, and two winners from Glebe Primary School, Lauren Wyllie and Hattie McClory in the primary five-primary seven category; further understands  that the Irvine Burns Club was affected by the global pandemic and contacted schools to find a new way of hosting the competition; notes that both primary schools organised their own in-house competition with support from the club; commends the schools for their hard work, and congratulates all the winners of the verse speaking competitions.
