Buckie Foodbank
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Salvation Army and the team of volunteers for their continued efforts at the Buckie foodbank in Moray; notes that the COVID-19 lockdown and furlough brought unprecedented challenges for many people, and that, along with those at other foodbanks, the volunteers in Buckie have faced and are facing unprecedented demand as many people struggle with addressing basic human needs; acknowledges that the team was honoured with an award by the lord lieutenants of Banffshire and Moray for their services to the community during lockdown; notes that, as with other foodbanks, the demand for their services is ongoing, and sends them its best wishes.
