Put an End to Exploitative Trial Shifts
The motion
That the Parliament condemns the use of so-called "trial shifts," where, it understands, a job applicant is asked to work unpaid as part of the recruitment process; expresses concern that the use of such practices is reportedly becoming more common; is of the view that this represents an unacceptable erosion of hard-won workers’ rights; believes the practice is particularly exploitative as it often involves low-paid positions and young workers, and encourages workers to join a trade union.
