200th Anniversary of the Treaty of Cordoba
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges the 200th anniversary of the Treaty of Cordoba, signed with Spain on 24 August 1821 after the Mexican War of Independence; notes that the treaty recognised the independence of New Spain, later renamed Mexico, and appreciates that Mexicans will celebrate Independence Day on 16 September with a fiesta-friendly holiday.
