Clydebank Sea Cadets Chairman, George Troup BEM, Receives Captain’s Medal
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Clydebank Sea Cadets chairman, George Troup BEM, for being presented with the Captain’s Medal for 56 years of unbroken volunteer service; understands that George joined the Clydebank Unit as a young boy almost 73 years ago, and that, at the age of 87, he has been presented with one of the top honours in the Sea Cadets by the operational head of the Sea Cadets; notes that through his engineering skills, nautical flair, leadership, and kindness, he has supported many young people in Clydebank in paving better futures, and commends him for his great service.
