Sandra Watters Represents Scotland at Para Bowls Championships

That the Parliament congratulates Sandra Watters, aged 73 from Greenock, on securing her place in the Scotland squad for the visually impaired bowlers home international four-nations tournament in York in January 2022; understands that Sandra has been a member of Gourock Park Bowling Club for around 10 years, and will also be appearing at the visually impaired bowlers championships at Glasgow indoor arena in October 2021; further understands that Sandra was diagnosed with macular degeneration seven years ago, but was determined not to let the condition quell her passion for the sport; hopes that Sandra’s success will encourage other visually impaired people to consider taking up bowls in Inverclyde, and wishes her all the best in the upcoming competitions.
