Organic Growers of Fairlie Receive Outstanding Certification

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Organic Growers of Fairlie on being awarded an overall Level 5 (Outstanding) certification for their community garden by Keep Scotland Beautiful; understands that the Organic Growers of Fairlie sustain, develop and evolve a welcoming and environmentally sustainable garden and sanctuary for their community, in which they grow high-quality organic fruit and vegetables, promote skills and knowledge, and provide opportunities for pupils from Largs Academy, which has led to positive destinations within the horticultural industry; recognises that the group, which counts 160 members, shares its produce with the local community during hard times, and wishes the Organic Growers of Fairlie continued success in their future endeavours as a pillar of the community.
