Fraser Galloway Secures Finalist Spot in British Farming Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Dumfries and Galloway farmer, Fraser Galloway, on being shortlisted as a 2021 finalist in the Diversification Innovator of the Year category at the British Farming Awards; understands that Fraser has been recognised for diversifying part of his family’s beef and sheep farm in Wigtownshire into seven luxury, heated, four-berth, en-suite wigwam cabins, five of which have their own fantastic electric hot tubs, and for providing a hidden treasure retreat away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life; understands that, celebrating the innovative, determined and extraordinary farmers across all farming and agricultural sectors, the British Farming Awards showcase the diversity and adaptability of the UK’s farming community, no matter the size of the business; wishes Fraser every success at the upcoming awards in October when the winners will be announced, and further wishes Fraser and his family the best of luck with the Wigtown wigwam business.
