Orkney Sisters' Success at Scottish Athletics Championships

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the sisters, Taylah and Tegan Spence, who are from Orkney, on their achievements at the Scottish Athletics Senior Championships in Grangemouth; recognises that Taylah took gold in the 200m senior race, topping the podium with a time of 24.8 seconds, and that her younger sister, Tegan, took bronze in the 400m senior race, earning her podium place with a time of 59.67 seconds; notes that, despite being in the under-20s age group, Tegan earned a place at the Senior Championships, and that both won the medals without beating their own personal best times; praises the Orkney Athletics Club for supporting young athletes from Orkney to compete and train locally and nationally, and wishes both Taylah and Tegan all the very best of success in their future pursuit of further achievements on the track.
