Marking the Sad Passing of Grant Clark
The motion
That the Parliament offers its condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Grant Clark following his sad passing on 16 July 2021; understands that Grant was a well-loved and valued volunteer for Maryhill’s Burgh Halls Trust, as well as a life-long fan of Partick Thistle FC; notes that, following an earlier family service, Grant’s ashes were scattered at Firhill Stadium on 17 August 2021 in a service attended by several volunteers from the Burgh Halls Trust; acknowledges the work of, and extends its thanks to, Grant and the team of committed volunteers at Maryhill Burgh Halls, and offers its appreciation more generally for the work of volunteers across wider society, who are the lifeblood of many organisations for which volunteering is vital.
