Thanking Community Response Teams
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the team at the charity, Community Response in East Dunbartonshire (CRED), on being awarded £64,000 by the National Lottery Community Fund; thanks all those who give their energy, time and skills to organise and deliver food, prescriptions and practical help to those who find themselves housebound or in need of additional support; understands that CRED was formerly known as the G66 Covid Response Team, initially established as part of a network of local teams supported by the local Third Sector Interface, East Dunbartonshire Voluntary Action and the helpline, OPAL (Older People Active Lives); is grateful for the dedication of volunteers, administrators and trustees at CRED, as well as the teams at the G61 G62 Community Response and the G64 Community Support, in providing meaningful assistance to local residents, and sends messages of gratitude to all those serving at the heart of their local community during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
