Scottish Housing Day 2021

The motion

That the Parliament acknowledges that 15 September 2021 marks the sixth annual Scottish Housing Day; notes that, this year, the theme is Housing and the Climate Emergency; welcomes the organisers' wish to encourage people to think about the role that homes play in responding to the climate emergency and to signpost the public to methods to reduce their energy use and move to low-carbon heating; welcomes the Scottish Government's moves that aim to increase energy efficiency and decrease carbon use among low-income households, such as the Area Based Scheme programme, and notes calls for the Scottish Government to continue expanding its support for reducing the carbon footprint of homes across the country.
