Stirling Albion Charity Challenge
The motion
That the Parliament notes the pride and dedication shown by Stirling residents and fans of Stirling Albion towards their community club, acknowledges that the COVID-19 pandemic has been a difficult time for Scotland’s football sector; believes however that grassroots football has pulled through remarkably; welcomes efforts by the club to remain engaged in the community and to promote healthy lifestyles, believes that it and its supporters have consistently shown the depth of their international solidarity in their charity work by fundraising and supporting their twin team, Gambinos, which is based in the village of Mandinari, Gambia, and praises the ongoing fundraising efforts to support the Gambinos through the pandemic.
