The motion
That the Parliament commends the Banchory and District Talking Paper for producing weekly recordings of The Deeside Piper, titled Sound of the Piper for over 20 years; notes that over the last two decades it has created an accessible service for many with sight and other disabilities to keep up to date with local news; understands that the paper received many grants and other sources of funding and was presented with The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Services in 2018; but commiserates that it is now closing due to changing times, and thanks all those who have been involved for their hard work and commitment to Sound of the Piper.
