Station House Cookery School Receives Accreditation
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Station House Cookery School, which is in Kirkcudbright, Dumfries and Galloway, on being named the south west's first and only independently-accredited cookery school by the Independent Cookery Schools Association; understands that it offers a unique experience in Dumfries and Galloway; notes that it has been developed in the beautiful former train station buildings in the picturesque fishing town and is managed by the chef, Nick Morris; recognises that it offers a wide range of cookery classes for all ages and tastes; notes that these are delivered by passionate and knowledgeable tutors, with a focus on promoting the best local produce; believes that, in obtaining this accreditation, the school demonstrated that it met the key standards set out by the association, which are Sustainability, Seasonality, Single-use Plastic Free and Reduced Waste, Sourcing Regionally and Supporting British Producers, and Championing Animal Welfare and Responsible Farming; thanks Nick and the team at Station House for the fantastic work that they do for tourism in Dumfries and Galloway, for promoting healthier eating and for the environment; encourages all to consider visiting Station House and to take at least one of its insightful cooking sessions, and notes that details can be found at the website, stationhousecookeryschool.co.uk.
