Sustainable Seafood Week 2021
The motion
That the Parliament recognises that 16 to 21 September marked Sustainable Seafood Week 2021; commends Marine Stewardship Council, as well as all fishers, chefs and community stakeholders involved, for leading this nationwide movement that encourages consumers to eat sustainable locally-sourced seafood; understands that three billion people across the world rely on seafood to provide an important source of protein in their diet; applauds the Scottish seafood sector's strides in embracing new technologies and fishing methods to build a world-leading sustainable industry in the Banffshire and Buchan Coast constituency and beyond, and wishes them continued success in the future.
