Jamie Oliver Backs East Ayrshire Education Programme for Pupils to Minimise Food Waste
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Food For The Future scheme, which is being launched by The Prince’s Foundation and developed in partnership with the celebrity chef, Jamie Oliver; understands that the scheme will initially benefit 48 secondary school pupils in East Ayrshire; notes that they will have an opportunity to learn from experts in farming and cooking in order to cook a range of nutritious dishes while minimising food waste; recognises that this programme aims to inspire the young people to think about food waste, challenging them to come up with their own sustainable solutions, and wishes the programme and its participants well as it prepares to launch.
