Fraserburgh Shortlisted for Regeneration Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the regeneration of Fraserburgh on being shortlisted for the Scotland’s Regeneration Forum (SURF) award, which showcases success in responding to regeneration challenges in communities across Scotland; welcomes the joint working provided by the Fraserburgh Regeneration Development Partnership; notes some of the highlights in Fraserburgh, such as the Faithlee Centre, the creation of a small Japanese-themed public memorial garden, the £1.2 million public-accessible sports and running facility at South links, and the multi-functional building at the Harbour, which is progressing to accommodate the Moray East Offshore Wind Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Hub, and believes that the fantastic natural assets in Fraserburgh can assist in ensuring Fraserburgh is a go-to place for business, work and recreation.
