Reymie's Community Corner

The motion

That the Parliament applauds Raymond Liddell, of Tranent, East Lothian, for his selfless lockdown venture, named Reymie’s Community Corner; notes that Raymond started his community corner in his garage by handing out books from his own collection to locals in need, as libraries were closed, during the first lockdown; recognises the efforts of other community members who donated their own belongings, including toys, books, DVDs and other items to be gifted to others; admires Raymond’s community spirit and friendship, which is reflected in his commitment to keeping local people engaged and active during lockdown, and commends Raymond for 18 months of work that he has now drawn to an end.
