University of Glasgow Named Scottish University of the Year
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the University of Glasgow on being named Scottish University of the Year by The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022, as well as being placed 12th in the overall rankings of UK universities, which is the highest ranking the university has ever achieved in the prestigious listing; understands that, in addition, the university scored positively for student experience and teaching quality, with a first place in the UK for Food Science, Sports Science and Dentistry, with 20 subjects ranked in the top five and 32 subjects ranked in the top 10; believes that this recognition is a tribute to everyone involved at the University of Glasgow who have worked so hard to achieve this success, and wishes them well in the coming year.
