Reverend Melville Crossthwaite

That the Parliament congratulates Rev Melville Crossthwaite on his 26-year service to the parishioners of Larbert East church in the Falkirk East constituency; understands that Rev Crossthwaite has decided to retire after 11 years, from 1984, at Carstairs Junction Parish Churches, and the past 26 years spent in Larbert East; notes the impact Rev Crossthwaite has had on both his congregation and students who, it understands, have benefited from his leadership, going on to become ministers and readers in churches both locally and across Scotland; congratulates Rev Crossthwaite on his service to the local communities as their minister, and wishes him a long, happy and restful retirement when the time comes.
