Congratulations to East Kilbride’s Visually Impaired Bowling Club
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the formation of a new bowling club for visually impaired people in East Kilbride, which has been recognised as the first organisation of its kind in South Lanarkshire; congratulates organiser Dominic Everett for his work in establishing the club with the assistance from Visually Impaired Bowls Scotland, which provided free sessions to help the club get on its feet; understands that the sport is a great way to ensure visually impaired people have the opportunity to make friends and re-engage with society after the difficulties brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, and wishes the club and all its members the best for the future as they seek to attract more people and play against other clubs.
