Skydiving Fundraiser for Teenage Cancer Trust
The motion
That the Parliament commends the efforts of Rosey Watt and Caitlin Esslemont, who are fifth year pupils at Banff Academy and are taking part in a skydive to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust on 9 October 2021; understands that the Trust is the only charity dedicated to providing specialist nursing care and support to young people diagnosed with cancer, regardless of where they live, and helps them feel less isolated; applauds Rosey and Caitlin, who have raised a substantial sum already, on raising awareness about the importance of spotting signs of cancer and helping break down stigmas that generally stop people from talking about it; congratulates them on their fantastic initiative, and wishes Rosey and Caitlin the very best in their future endeavours.
