Original Artists, Scotland’s Best Gift Retailer

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Lisa Keogh, who has run Original Artists, in Gourock, for nearly 25 years, on being named Scotland’s Best Gift Retailer at The Greats Gift Retailer Awards 2021 ceremony in London; understands that Original Artists was up against six other finalists from Scotland; believes that this award reflects the unique offer and excellent customer service provided by Original Artists; notes that Original Artists was established with the help of the Prince’s Trust and is one of many thriving local businesses on Gourock’s Kempock Street, which has been recognised nationally for its transformation in recent years; recognises that Original Artists sells Scottish arts and crafts, jewellery, gifts and home interiors as well as unusual, hand-picked pieces from all over the world, and that Lisa and her team are conscious of ensuring that the products are fair trade; hopes Lisa’s success will help boost Gourock’s growing reputation as a shopping and tourist destination, and wishes Original Artists all the best for the future.
