Liz Cairney - Prestwick

The motion

That the Parliament applauds Liz Cairney, of Prestwick, for donating 24 inches of her own hair to Macmillan Cancer Support in remembrance of her and her husband's loved ones whom they lost to cancer; understands that in remembrance of her mother and her husband’s brother, Liz decided to raise money with a target of £500; recognises her generosity and thoughtfulness by growing her hair for years and raising a fantastic £801; notes the invaluable work of Macmillan Cancer Support, which gives information and support to those whose lives are affected by cancer and celebrates all those who donated, including Sweenies of Ayr, the barber that snipped her hair and donated £100, and celebrates all those in Scotland who engage in fundraising for such noble causes.
