Cancellation of Winter Events in Ayrshire

The motion

That the Parliament notes with concern that, amid what it sees as vaccine passport confusion, winter events are being cancelled in Ayrshire; notes the disappointment of Troon residents in finding out that the town’s fireworks display and the Wintertainment parade are cancelled; understands that organisers faced a logistical nightmare with vaccine passports being required if the events were ticketed; further understands that extra vaccine passport checks have made the planning unmanageable, and hopes that some form of Wintertainment manages to go ahead despite the cancellation of the Santa parade.
