Paul McNeill Wins Award for Outstanding Contribution to Education for Dyslexia

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Paul McNeill on winning the prestigious award of Outstanding Contribution to Education for Dyslexia, at the Potential Unlocked Awards 2021; delights that he applied his creativity to collaborate with Julie McNeill and Rossie Stone to publish Mission Dyslexia as a fun, interactive book for families to enjoy as they journey with three superheroes; acknowledges that Paul's inspiration to make a difference in this way is firmly rooted in his lived experience of growing up with dyslexia; honours Paul's family for their consistent, positive support during his childhood in making regular visits to libraries in a fun, engaging way as his skills and confidence grew; delights that the Mission Dyslexia book has been welcomed as a high quality SEN resource by families, educational practitioners and recognised by those judging the highly competitive Potential Unlocked Awards; wishes to thank all those who supported Paul's nomination, and sends every best wish to Paul and his colleagues for continued impact through their activities and publications.
