Eric Gray Centre, Shetland

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the enormous contribution that the Eric Gray Centre makes to the lives of autistic people and people with learning disabilities in Shetland, by providing a day centre with specialist care and activities; understands the importance of giving people with learning difficulties access to opportunities and activities in improving wellbeing and enhancing a sense of community; acknowledges the positive effect that the day centre has in providing respite for carers; congratulates the centre on receiving a donation from Concrete Repairs Limited, which has enabled the purchase of a wheelchair bike for service users, and wishes the centre well in its future endeavours.
