Girvan Academy Achieves LGBT Charter at Silver Level

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Girvan Academy on achieving the LGBT Charter at Silver level; recognises the hard work and dedication of pupils and staff in achieving this prestigious award from LGBT Youth Scotland; understands that pupil-led initiatives were a big focus of their practice and policy work, showing a commitment to pupil voice, and welcomes the training and the review of policies, practice and resources that aim to ensure that Girvan Academy goes beyond meeting legislative needs, and is as inclusive as it can be for pupils, staff, parents and the wider community.
