Recognising the Excellent Work of Deeside Sub Aqua Club and Stonehaven Canoe Club

The motion

That the Parliament commends the Deeside Sub Aqua Club and Stonehaven Canoe Club for removing over 100kg of litter from coves, caves and tunnels along the Aberdeenshire coastline; applauds the group for supporting the campaign, Great British Beach Clean, and improving the aesthetic of the Aberdeenshire coastline, while reducing pollution; understands that the clean-up operation included the coastline around Dunnottar Castle, an area of national heritage; considers that projects like these are great examples of community spirit in the Aberdeenshire area; thanks the Marine Conservation Society for organising the event; recognises the effort and skill required by the group to remove litter from these hard-to-reach areas, and wishes both groups great success for the future.
