Congratulations to Ayrshire Cancer Support

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Ayrshire Cancer Support as it launches its MakeItHappen campaign; understands that the charity hopes to turn its new premises into a support centre for children and young people throughout Ayrshire, and that it needs £400,000 to create a homely centre to offer practical and emotional support to those affected by cancer; further understands that the centre will host focus groups where children and young people can voice what services they would like to see offered; acknowledges that cancer can have a devastating impact on those who are living with it; encourages everyone who can to visit the Ayrshire Cancer Support page justgiving.com/campaign/makeithappen and make a donation; understands that the charity is appealing to individuals and businesses to help it raise funds to carry out the refurbishment, and wishes the charity well as it continues to support young people living with cancer.
